Getting Our Heads Around 1+1=1

In this last weekend’s gathering, we continued to explore one of the greatest and most consequential of all Paul’s revealed mysteries. Namely, the reality that the born-again believer is at once “in Christ” and Christ is “in” the believer. (You’ll find the link to the audio of the teaching below.)

But first, here are some of my notes I promised to share:

We are “one with Christ” 

The Seven Togethers 

1. Crucified together with Christ – Gal.  2:20 
2. Died together with Christ – Col. 2:20 
3. Buried together with Christ – Rom. 6:4.  
4. Made alive together with Christ – Eph. 2:5.  
5. Raised together with Christ – Col. 3:1.  
6. Suffers together with Christ – Rom. 8:17.  
7. Glorified together with Christ – Rom. 8:17. 

There is another way to frame the “we in Him/He in us mystery . . . “We have become “one” with Him.
