Our Purpose

Ecclesia

It's the Greek word translated "church" in the New Testament. At one level it simply means "gathering" or "assembly."

Yet a true ecclesia is more than a collection of individuals in a room. In a very real sense, it is a holy convocation. The forming of something more powerful than the sum of the individual parts.

It is a place of connection. A place of growth. A place of mutual encouragement where we know and are known.

We gather weekly (usually) around the "cup" of communion and the "table" of fellowship.

We have nothing against "mega-churches" or regular brick-and-mortar churches. But we are creating a different expression of community. We meet in a living room. Small. Inviting. Intimate.

And because we aren't wide, we can go deep. Deep in our relationships. Deep in our explorations and discussions of spiritual truth. Deep in our serving, praying, giving.
